Donald Joseph
Goewey Science Advisers Barbara Wexler is a chronic disease epidemiologist with a medical degree from Yale. She is highly respected and widely published medical writer. A contributing author to more than a dozen medical textbooks, she has written more than 100 consumer health education publications and reference textbooks including Science On Our Minds and Mental Health: How Do Americans Cope? (Thomson/Gale, 2004) as well as numerous articles for peer-reviewed journals. Her most recent book, Reducing Stress (Woodland Publishing 2010) is at the press. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and the Yale University College of Medicine and Yale's School of Public Health, Barbara has taught biostatistics and research methods and prepared curricula for public and private sector health education and health promotion programs. Barbara has contributed to the development of more than 250 clinical practice guidelines, critical pathways and treatment algorithms for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health as well as guidelines for substance abuse treatment. She also has addressed behavioral health issues in guidelines prepared for several state Departments of Aging & Disability Services. She assists medical device, biotech and health service companies to evaluate the market, the strengths and weaknesses of proposed products and competitive environments and to create effective marketing plans. She also assists companies to navigate the regulatory process and regularly prepares clinical study reports and regulatory filings. Gerald Jampolsky, M.D. is an internationally known psychiatrist, author and founder of a school of psychology based on attitude. He is graduate Stanford University Medical School and served his residency at Langley Porter Institute at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Jampolsky is the author of fourteen books, including the international bestseller Love Is Letting Go Of Fear. In 1975, he founded the International Center for Attitudinal Healing. He has appeared on 60 Minutes and produced a children’s program with Phil Donahue that won a Peabody Award. In 2005, Dr. Jampolsky was awarded the Pride In The Profession Award from the American Medical Association. This award honor physicians whose lives encompass the true spirit of being a medical professional: caring for people. By practicing medicine in areas of crisis, these physicians serve as the voice of patients in the United States who otherwise might not be heard. Richard Cuadra, M.A, in counseling, former clinical director of CorStone, 20+ years experience as a lead trainer in health care settings with people faced with the stress of life threatening illness and grief.
